Our Favourite time of the year is nearly here! The Perth Royal Show is happening from Saturday 28 September through to Saturday 6 October and we are so excited! If you want to experience The Perth Royal Show on a budget, here’s 10 tips to help you out:
Purchase Discount Tickets before the show
Discount tickets to the Perth Royal Show are available at all IGA stores and online. If you buy an early bird family pass for two adults and two children for $65 – you can save $9 off the gate price. Plus children 4 and under are FREE this year.
If you are planning on arriving late, twilight tickets are available after 5pm.
Kids go HALF PRICE
Through the support of Lotterywest kids get half-price entry on Thursday 3 October. If you’re heading to the show with grandparents, half-price entry for seniors is on Friday 4 October.
Catch the Train
Save on fuel and parking costs by taking the train to Claremont Showgrounds. It’s hassle-free and the kids love it! A family rider pass is $13.10 and lasts all day. A Family Rider ticket that gives a group of up to seven people unlimited travel on the day of purchase, provided no more than two of them normally pay full fare. Kids four years and younger travel on Transperth for FREE.

Food & Drink Samples/Specials and BYO Picnic
There are lots of options when it comes to food. You can pack your own picnic and set up a spot on the grass near the Main Arena to watch the goings-on there while you eat.
Perth Royal Show AGVENTURE Trail
The Follow the Yellow Brick Road is now the AGVENTURE Trail and is completely FREE! AGVENTURE Trail is complete with hands-on interactive activities and a chance to win prizes!
To become an AGVENTURER you will need your handy Show Guide, available at the gate.
Catch a Free Show
There’s loads of FREE Entertainment at the show, in fact, there are 101 Free Things to do and see at the Perth Royal Show!
Ranging from the Flight Centre Spectacular Fireworks display every evening, to cooking, cake decorating, walking among animals and getting a chance to pet and cuddle some of them, shearing demonstrations, horse events, street entertainment, dancing dogs, racing and diving pigs … the list is exciting and endless.
2 for 1 Rides at Kiddieland
2 for 1 Kids Rides at Nova Kiddieland daily from 3-4 pm each day, they can be used until 7pm, near Gate 10. The 2 for 1 offer means During the promotion $6 will allow two rides equating to $3 each.
View the 10,000 Animals on Display
Daily shows in the Racing & Diving Pig area near Gate 8 at 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm, 3.30pm and 5.00pm.
Buy a Budget Showbag
There are over 40 showbags that are available for $5 or under. There’s Bertie Beetle, Cadbury, Whizz Fizz, Trolli and more! Hopefully at these prices, everyone will go home with at least one! Check out all the 2019 Showbags here.
The Fireworks Spectacular
If you don’t mind a late night, the Fireworks Spectacular will not disappoint, which will be on every day of the show at 8.00pm.
