General consensus is that Atlantis Play Centre is one of the BEST play centres ever built! It opened on the labour day weekend to crowds of keen families as the word spread. From the red faces of the deliriously happy kids you could tell it was a big hit with them as much as with the parents.
There is an abundance of fun, exciting and creative equipment with a nautical theme throughout, to keep the kids (0-12 years) entertained for hours. You may struggle to convince your kids to leave when it’s home time!
Atlantis Play Centre is huge but has good visibility to all areas. It is light and airy and very well planned with abundant tables and chairs that are well spread out. The play equipment is shiny new and sparklingly clean! Everything is padded and there are plenty of softfall mats – the kids’ safety has really been taken into consideration.
Atlantis Play Centre consists of the following areas:
A main play frame suitable for ages 4 and up.
Baby Zone for Ages 0-2
Toddler Zone for Ages 0-4
Separate Inflatables Area for Ages 4 +
A race track for motorised go carts
Café with table seating
Upstairs party rooms
The Main play area is a gigantic play frame which forms a maze of different levels and activities to explore with tunnels, bridges, peaking windows and more. Kids can spin, climb, balance and really let their imaginations run wild!
Here are some of the features –
A 4 lane wave slide means less waiting time, as 4 kids can zoom down simultaneously (slowing down at each wave):
An orange spiral slide with windows shoots kids out onto softfall mats:
A climbing tower with great views from the top:
A funball battle play area with ball guns and endless fun to be had with the soft spongy balls:
An enclosed trampoline allows for 4 kids at a time:
A climbing wall continues the Under the Sea theme:
Climb inside an exciting Shark whose jaws hold a viewing bubble window!
The Baby Zone (0-2yrs) is fenced and gated and consists of padded shapes to climb and crawl over, as well as a stunning water pillow to play on – the water is underneath and a blue light shines enticingly from it – babies will be mesmerized and the older kids envious. There is an octopus and other sea creature shapes as well as educational number dice to clamber over.
The Toddler Zone (0-4yrs) is also fenced and gated and includes its own bouncy castle (safe from all the big kids); a smaller play frame complete with slide; an enchanting seahorse roundabout and another pony one; and numerous creative activities such as a musical piano pad, wall games and two spinning cups.
The separate Inflatables area (4+ yrs) houses two enormous ocean themed bouncy castles – one has a whale slide and the other has a dolphin entrance and is full of interesting and challenging features.
Finally, test your driving skills in a motorised go cart on a winding 40-metre race track. Tickets for this can be bought at the gate for $4 a go. Adults can ride with younger kids.
And if all of that isn’t enough to make you sprint there right away, then the café will make it even more worth your while. The café has a good variety of light meals and kiddie meal choices such as hot chips with chicken nuggets or fish bites, sandwiches or pizza with chips. The yummy food is freshly prepared on a daily basis. Plenty of hot and cold beverages are for sale too. Plenty of Baby highchairs are available.
You simply have to visit this play centre to fully appreciate its amazeballs-ness. Buggybuddys gives Atlantis Play Centre Clarkson a huge thumbs up!
