Presented by The City of South Perth and supported by Lotterywest, The Australia Day Celebration Zone is the place to be for families.
This event features 100 free activities suitable for toddlers to adults, a range of food vendors, picnic space for families, in an alcohol and smoke-free environment.
Children’s entertainment includes roving performers, the Art Tent with craft activities, The Big Top featuring puppetry, storytelling and dance, the Toddler Tyre Park, Toddler Toddler Sport Zone, and many more.
Activities wrap up at 7.30pm to allow families to find a spot to watch the fireworks beginning at 8.00pm.
City of Perth Skyworks

Enjoy the largest Australia Day festivities in the country by celebrating the 34th year of City of Perth Skyworks. Head down with family or close friends and enjoy a picnic while revelling at the beauty of the Perth skyline.
Full of music, dance, art and food, the Birak Concert celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
Then as the night closes in secure your spot on the foreshore to watch the spectacular fireworks display from 8pm.

The Pleasure Garden will be transformed into a children’s playground, Little Pleasures. This will be a free event to entertain children, which cool spots to sit. This is presented by Kids Cabaret and is best suited to ages 0-9 years.
Fridge World ticketed children’s shows include The Splash Zone: Mermaids, Pirates!! On The Seven Seas, Disco Kids and Huggers: The Family Friendly Comedy and Cabaret Show.

Celebrate Australia Day with a jam-packed evening of festivities and fireworks in the Armadale City Centre. This event is presented by City of Armadale and supported by Lotterywest.
Grab a picnic spot in either Minnawarra or Memorial Parks, and join in the community celebrations in a hassle-free carnival atmosphere.
There are a range of activities for all ages including carnival rides, a Water Fun Zone, food vendors and live music.
The highlight of the evening will be the spectacular fireworks display with an all Australian soundtrack collated by Heritage FM local radio and broadcasted on 107.3FM. More fabulous entertainment will continue after the fireworks.

The Town of Mosman Park will host the annual Australia Day Celebrations on behalf of Town of Cottesloe, Town of Mosman Park and Shire of Peppermint Grove.
A free barbecue will be provided by the Rotary Club of Mosman Park-Cottesloe, with help from the local scouts and Mosman Park Youth Advisory Members. This follows the Australia Day citizenship ceremony. Bring a picnic rug or a folding chair as the provided seating is limited.

Mandurah Australia Day Citizenship Celebrations

Head to the Foreshore between 7.00am and 9.00am to enjoy a $6 cooked Aussie breakfast thanks to the Lions Club of Mandurah and live music thanks to the Mandurah Concert Band.
The official ceremony starts at 8.30am, with the Community Citizen of the Year Awards announced, followed by the welcoming over 100 new citizens who will take their oath to becoming Australia’s newest citizens.
The event concludes with a flotilla of boats on the Estuary, organized by Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club (MOFSC) competing for the best dressed titled, to be awarded by Mandurah’s Mayor, Rhys Williams, at approximately 11.00am.
This is an alcohol and smoke-free event. Please leave pets at home.

City of Bunbury Skyfest Australia Day Event

Begin your Australia Day with a barbecue breakfast. This will be followed by the Bunbury Runners Club Fun Run which takes off from Leschenault Inlet at 7.00am. The Mayors Citizenship and Awards Ceremony will commence at 8.30am at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell.
At 4.00pm, there will be a range of free entertainment and activities for the whole family, including a fenced Toddler Zone with a ball pit and play fort and a Kids Stage with kid-friendly shows. The family concert will include local and South West musicians, as well as a popular nationally recognized performer as the headliner.
The Fireworks Spectacular will light up Bunbury from 8.30pm with the biggest and best Australia Day Fireworks Show in WA outside of Perth.
Mandurah Masters Australia Day Ocean Swim

The Mandurah Masters Australia Day Swim is an Ocean Swim for all-comers, registered swimmers and not, from 12 years of age upwards over 1000m or 2000m which is the main event or 4000m.
The event is conducted by the Mandurah Marsters Swimming Club from the Old Halls Head Yacht Club for registrations. The start/finish Line is the front of the Club House.
This is a paid event, with major cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, then age group prizes in the 2000m event, plus on the spot prizes. See the event website for more details.
City of Canning Australia Day @ Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore

Start the day with friends and family, and celebrate this beautiful country we live in. What better way to start the day than with a delicious breakfast and a community get together down at Shelley Foreshore. Enjoy an array of stalls, kids activities and rides, face painting and live music and more.
At 9.00am the City will conduct an official Citizenship Ceremony, where 30 new citizens will be sworn in by the City Mayor Mr Paul Ng. This will be followed by a Flag Raising Ceremony performed by the TS Canning Naval Cadets, ‘Advance Australia Fair’ sing by Anne Millar and numerous pieces by the Canning City Brass Band and Fiddlers Green Bush Band.
Tables and chairs are provided, however you are welcome to bring your own. Free parking is available, dogs are permitted, and the event itself is free.
