Opened in February 2000, Peter Moyes Anglican Community School is a low fee, co-educational day school offering up to 15 years of uninterrupted learning on one modern campus in Mindarie. Whole school planning provides the advantage of a seamless education from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 where students are supported and encouraged by a strong pastoral care system. Academic achievement is valued and promoted within the School while student progress is carefully monitored as they are encouraged to achieve personal excellence.
The School offers a quality, holistic education presenting opportunities across a wide range of student interests and abilities. They do not specialise in any one aspect of the curriculum but aim to provide high-quality programmes and resources across all subjects. The School places great emphasis on the creation of a supportive atmosphere where children feel safe and valued. Teaching and mentoring is provided by highly professional staff in an environment where Christian values are in evidence and guide their practice. Students and their teachers work in partnership to help students achieve their best.
A modern campus hosts three separate Sub-Schools (Primary, Middle and Senior), along with a new gymnasium, auditorium, art, trades and technology workshops, food, science and media labs, plus nature play areas, hard courts and extensive grounds. Panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the local neighbourhood attract appreciative comments from visitors to the campus.
The School’s main intake years for new students are Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Year 7. These intake years coincide with important educational and social developments of a child’s life. Vacancies in other year groups may also be available so please contact the School’s Enrolments Officer to enquire.
The Pre-Kindergarten Programme is available each day during term time. Children can attend short sessions (8:10am to 1:10pm) or long sessions (8:10am to 2:40pm), up to three days per week. The programme aims to inspire, guide and encourage your child to flourish. The School offers guided learning through play where your child can learn as they discover, create, improvise and imagine.
The Kindergarten Programme operates four days per week during term time, excluding Wednesdays. Children are expected to attend all four days each week. The programme is led by fully qualified and passionate educators who are trained in Early Years development and learning.
Before and after School care is available on campus for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.
