Now, I have to admit, I do have a thing about ribs! There is nothing better than getting stuck into some sticky, messy, melt in your mouth ribs. Oh all this talk about them is making me hungry. Anyway, as I was saying, I love ribs, so an obvious choice for dinner when I had one of those I’m hungry, but don’t want to cook times, was to head to Lone Star Rib House in Joondalup. It may have been the large flag advertising the fact they do an all you can eat ribs and wings that lured me in.
As we walked inside, I loved how the decor was old Texan style. We were greeted by the lovely staff dressed in cowboy hats and pistols.
As we were shown to our table, they handed us our extra large menus and a bucket of peanuts to munch on while we made our decision about what to eat.
I didn’t need the menu to know that I wanted the all you can eat ribs and wings! This special is not shown on the actual menu, so if you want it, just ask. I do have to add, that for $29.95 it is a great deal.
Hubby stuck to his usual and ordered a tribute burger.
For the little ones, they have a separate kids menu, as well as colouring in sheets to keep them entertained. Included in the kid’s meals is all you can eat ice-cream. I decided to keep that a secret from miss 4. You can also get them a drink in special sheriff sippy bottle, which you can take home if you wish.
When the food came, my plate took up most of my side of the table, it was HUGE. If you manage to eat all of that (which I did not!) then you can ask for a refill. If you are up for a challenge, they also have a Dallas double dog dare challenge. This is one gigantic 2 foot long hotdog loaded with hotdogs, chili con carne, chips, onions, bacon, eggs and cheese. If you eat all of this is 20 min, then you get your name up on the wall of fame.
The prices of the food is very reasonable and we enjoyed dining here, and I will be back for more of those ribs and wings in the not too distant future!
You can find Lone Star Rib house at a few different locations around Perth. The one we visited was in Joondalup which is located at 151 Grand Boulevard. For more information, visit their website.
