This month saw grand opening of the first Ribs & Burgers in WA located in the popular 140 William Street precinct in the Perth CBD.

If you like to eat good quality protein and fresh ingredients Ribs & Burgers will not disappoint you.

The menu offers an array of succulent burgers prepared with grass fed, hormone free, 100% pure beef patties and free range chicken breasts.  The buns are made from organic flour. The Ribs are slow cooked for 8hrs to ensure that the meat is cooked in its own juices for a stronger natural flavour. Is your mouth watering yet?

 

Ribs & Burgers caters for vegetarians too and they also have a Halal Menu (full details on their website). They can also create Gluten Free Burgers by replacing the bun with a big lettuce cup.

Sunday was a beautiful sunny winter’s day and so we decided to take our boys for a trip on the train to the City.

We arrived in the City at about midday and the boys were hungry. As we came out of the station we walked passed Ribs & Burgers, and as my husband works in the City and mentioned Ribs & Burgers had just opened, so we decided to give it a go.

It was fairly busy but we managed to find a table outside to enjoy the winter sunshine.  My husband had to queue for about 15 minutes to place the order. The boys played in the yard in front of the restaurant and the waiter also brought us some white paper and colouring pencils to entertain them while we were waiting for our food.

There were few families with small kids dining and few high chairs available for the little ones but no changing facilities.

The food arrived promptly served in metal dishes or on wooden chopping boards.

I ordered a Protein + Side: two chicken breasts with cabbage salad. The chicken was marinated in lemon and herbs, perfectly grilled and it was absolutely delicious! $19

My Husband ordered the Rack of Riblets with a side of rocket salad. The Ribs were juicy and falling off the bone. $19.50

There were only three choices for the kids. We ordered a Junior Riblets with chips $14 and the chicken slider with aioli with chips $8.

The food was amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection.  The side salads were fresh and crunchy. Warning though, the chips dipped in the pink sauce can be very addictive!
