Luminous Park is a “super fun” new playground that has everything (minus toilets) and is the third amazing great play space for the lucky residents of the vibrant Iluma Private Estate in Bennett Springs. Bina Parkland, Balga Bina Parkland is the latest playground in Balga. Built within Princess Wallington Reserve, Stage 1 of the new play area includes traditional equipment, nature play and a flying fox! Bina Parkland is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages! The treehouse-inspired playground opened in July 2022 and features nature-based play elements, slides, seesaws, a toddler play space, lots of open turf areas and picnic and BBQ facilities. Britannia Reserve Pump Track Britannia Reserve Pump Track is a 1.2km pump track and nature bike trail in Leederville. Close to the city, it’s a great spot to take active kids of all ages out riding. Britannia Reserve Pump Track was originally installed as part of a Pop-Up Play initiative in April 2019. It has quickly become a permanent fixture. Britannia Reserve is one of City of Vincent’s largest open parklands. The pump track was created using natural materials. After over four years in the making, the 9 million dollar redevelopment of Shirley Strickland Reserve is complete! The dog-friendly sporting reserve is now home to a state-of-the-art Sport and Community Pavilion, a fantastic nature playground, fitness equipment and cycle/walking paths. The main feature of the playground is the enormous wooden multilevel climbing structure with a bright lime green slide. Lincoln Road Reserve in Forrestfield has had a recent upgrade adding nature play, ninja course and double flying fox to the existing play equipment. The double flying fox has a seat with a harness and the disc-style. The flying fox is quite long and as always we spent quite a bit of time on here. The play equipment has monkey bars, a small platform and a slide but after a few turns on the monkey bar, it was the ninja obstacles and flying fox that kept my daughter occupied. Strive Park, Girrawheen Strive Park is a small park located in the Blackmore Park Estate, in Girrawheen. The new Palmerston Square playground in Bassendean is NOW OPEN and ready to be explored! The old playground equipment has been replaced by a beautiful wooden playground. Canning River Regional Park is a large park and wetlands area covering about 6kms located around the Canning River. We usually go to the Kent St Weir area which also has the Canning River Cafe there but recently we discovered another playground a short walk away. This brand new nature adventure playground is located right next to the Coolbellup Skate Park just behind the Coolbellup Public Library. It is a fabulous play space that has been built around the huge existing trees, which provide shade to a large majority of the playground throughout the day. Botany Park located in Hammond Park has just undergone a fantastic upgrade. It is now toddler-friendly fully fenced with various pool gate entry points. Rossiter Pavilion and Playing Fields in Piara Waters, in the Holland Park Estate, boasts a small playground packed with natureplay and adventure for curious, energetic kids. Located hillside of City Beach Oval is a BRAND NEW playground full of personality and adventure! The highlight for the kids was definitely twin mirrored hill racing slides! Wyong Reserve in Bentley is a great little park with a lot going on. The playground is fully fenced and has a pathway running around it that is designed as a road to ride scooters and bikes along. Brabham has recently added a new park to Ariella estate, Ariella Adventure Park, and it’s absolutely delightful. The park features an awesome dragonfly play structure which consists of two rope climbing frames and one giant slide. The kids loved climbing up high at the top of the frame then walking along, before doing their best speed down the slide! It kept them entertained for ages! The popular Mills Park facility has recently opened a new all-abilities playground near the bbqs and grassed area. This new edition to the existing Mills Park Playspace and Skate Plaza is fully fenced and double gated which is also great for younger children. A good amount of the enclosed playground area is covered by shade sails and there are also a few seating options for parents too.
